Raised by the Great Lakes and trained in the south at the Savannah College of Art and Design, I began my education as a fine art painter in mostly oils, and transferred to illustration to experiment with a variety of mediums and styles. I fell in love with Prismacolour pencils.......and then I was forced to take that one required computer class! I had never used a computer before age 23, still today I resist the urge to smack the monitor or apply tin foil when things do not go as planned. I began by merely scanning and preparing work for printing, only recently did I begin to make entirely digital paintings. I have been choosen for picture of the week on the official Corel Painter Magazine website, and was featured in their artists gallery in the print edition #13 out of the UK (available worldwide) Also, my illustrations have been featured in the Girlistic Magazine Feminism and Fashion Issue, and I exhibit with The Untitled Artists Group and the Plowhaus Artists Co-op in Nashville, TN as well as solo shows with galleries such as the historic Belcourt Theatre. I am to be featured in May on Nashville's Music City Arts television station, Channel 9, as a part of the "Nashville's New Sound and Vision" May 15th at 8pm, in a music video pairing Nashville artists with their musical counterparts.

I paint in oils and acrylics, and prefer Prismacolor Pencils. For a computer illustration I usually begin with colored pencil drawings. I feel photo references are vital to portraits regardless of how I may alter features in the actual drawing. I prefer to take photos for those references myself.I then begin the digital painting in Photoshop and Corel using my own 'brushes', with a Wacom pen and graphite tablet.I print the final image out on a Canon professional 8 cartridge printer using archival inks. The French word Glicee' is a feminine noun that means a spray or spurt of liquid. A Glicee' print is an elevation in printing technology where images are generated from high resolution digital scans or files printed with archival ink onto various fine art or photo based papers and canvas. The Glicee' process offers better color accuracy than any other means of reproduction. This level of quality is commonly found in museums, art galleries, and photographic galleries. My finished product is a signed and numbered print, price based on size and framing. I use high rag, matte velvet fine art paper. Ligon free, chlorine free and with a PH 7.0, it is guaranteed to last 100 years. I take a lot of vitamins, yet still I suspect you will need to check with my grandchildren or Canon in the future about that!
Artwork should be displayed indoors, out of direct sunlight.
